A whole board, inside the link.
No databases, no invites, no permissions. The URL is the document.
- 01
Pack
Your whole board — items, columns, scores — gets compressed straight into a URL on your device.
- 02
Send
Drop the link in any chat, doc, email, or DM. There's no backend in the loop. Nothing to spin up.
- 03
Open
Whoever opens it gets a fresh local clone. They can edit, score, and share again — independent forever.
Small enough to live on your device.
Six things that make Kortlist different from every other comparison tool you've tried.
-
Local by default
Your data stays on your device unless you opt into sync. Boards live in your browser and keep working offline.
-
Scores that count
Thumbs up and down on every cell. The board adds them up so the winner emerges from the data.
-
Pairwise PlayCompare
When the table can't decide, run a tournament. Pick a winner per matchup and let scores accumulate.
-
A whole board, in a link
Share any board as a single URL. Whoever opens it sees the same cells, with no account and no setup.
-
Installable, anywhere
Add Kortlist to your home screen on iOS, Android, macOS, Windows. It's a real PWA.
-
Sync across devices
On any monthly plan, edits travel between every browser you're signed in on — near-instant, offline-safe.
Things people ask about Kortlist.
Short answers for the curious. If something's missing, it's probably on the roadmap.
-
What is a comparison board?
A comparison board is a side-by-side table for decisions: options become columns, the parameters that matter become rows, and you score each cell. Kortlist turns your browser into a free, offline-first pros-and-cons list maker that runs without an account.
-
Do I need an account to use Kortlist?
Not for the core app — boards live locally in your browser, so you can build, score, and share without signing up. A Google sign-in is only required if you want to use the optional URL Scan feature, which is tied to your per-account scan allowance. Both the marketing site and the web app use cookieless, privacy-respecting visitor counts (Pirsch); nothing personal is tracked.
-
How do I share a board with someone?
Your whole board compresses into a URL. Drop the link into any chat, email, or doc; whoever opens it gets a fresh local copy on their device. No invites, no permissions, no sync.
-
Is Kortlist really free?
The core is free and we intend to keep the basics free: building boards, scoring, sharing, and PlayCompare. The optional URL Scan feature runs on a per-account allowance with a small monthly quota of complimentary scans; additional scans can be purchased as one-time packs that never expire. No ads, and we won't sell your board data.
-
What can I compare on Kortlist?
Anything with parameters worth weighing: apartments, job offers, cars, cameras, recipes, travel destinations, job candidates, subscription plans. If a spreadsheet would do it, Kortlist probably does it better.
-
Does Kortlist work without internet?
Yes. Install it once as a PWA and the app runs fully offline on iOS, Android, macOS, Windows, and Linux. Boards you've opened remain available on a plane, in the metro, or in a tunnel.
